Programme breaks: Idents
These Idents, lasting between 12 and 30 seconds, can be split at any point to allow the broadcast to be synchronised to the nearest second. They illustrate the concept of culture’s magnetic pull across Europe: the sequence always begins with a complete map of Europe, which then distorts to form the letters ARTE.

Examples:
Programme breaks: Stings
Stings, which last 5 seconds, open the inter-programme sequences. These are the corporate versions; they are replaced by more event-specific stings during special programming (Summer Of, etc.)

Examples:
Programme breaks: “Now” graphics
“Now” graphics announce the programme coming up next. These are the corporate versions, which are replaced by more event-specific “Now” graphics during special programming (Summer Of, etc.).

Splittable: designed to be split into multiple sequences of varying lengths.
